Heibel Ranch Vineyards started in 2001, planted its first two acres of vineyards in 2003, and released the 2006 Lappa's (first vintage) in 2009. Our current production is a little over 300 cases annually, we've sold out the first two vintages, introduced a Sauvignon Blanc in 2010, and will release our 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon next year.

Lappa’s is the first wine created by Heibel Ranch Vineyards, and dedicated to the true “Lappa”, the late John Ghiringhelli. It is a blend of CCOF certified organic grapes that we grow on our ranch in the Aetna Springs area of Pope Valley. We farm approximately 2,400 vines; one acre of Cabernet Sauvignon clone #338, a half acre of Zinfandel clone #8, and over a quarter acre of Petite Sirah clone #4.
